Gender Value Changes for U.S.Federal

Venkatesh Kotikalapudi
Senior Principal Product Manager - Product Strategy

Currently in PeopleSoft HCM, the Gender (Sex) field in Personal Data, Biographical Section, allows users to select ‘Male’, ‘Female’ and ‘Unknown’ values. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) now wants to limit the field values to only ‘Male’ and ‘Female’. This means the ‘Unknown’ value of this field has to be disabled for Federal users.
