Recent research shows the C-suite’s influence on security policy. If members of the C-suite are enterprise caretakers, what role do they play in protecting the business? This is a question that the Economist Intelligence Unit asked 300 executives in a recent Oracle-sponsored paper entitled “Data Security: How a Proactive C-Suite Can Reduce Cyber-Risk for the Enterprise.” The results? Of the companies that took a proactive cyberdefense posture, 28 percent were able to cut the growth of cyberbreaches by more than 50 percent.
