Meet Toyota’s radical concept: e-Palette, a self-driving and fully electric vehicle that can serve interchangeably as ride sharing, delivery van, mobile store, office, restaurant, even a hotel room. For Keiji Yamamoto, executive vice president, Connected Company and managing officer at Toyota, the e-Palette could start a mobility revolution that improves people’s lives. “We’re inviting everyone who is interested in the idea of the e-Palette to experiment with its use, so that we can build on these concepts to create better vehicles and better cities in the future,” he says.
