Capgemini helps Oracle customers get optimal value from the innovative features of Oracle Human Capital Management (Oracle HCM). Capgemini’s Jan Richards, Global Oracle Alliance Leader, and Mary Murphy, North American Oracle HCM Leader, discuss how the right solutions can help human resources (HR) organizations effectively address today’s workforce challenges.
Q: What challenges are modern HR organizations facing today?
Murphy: As baby boomers get older, much of the workforce is retiring. Talent cultivated over the last 20 to 50 years is walking out the door. HR leaders must understand what talent they have in-house so they can recruit the right people to fill those roles and establish plans for future leaders and successors. HR is also tasked with recruiting and managing millennials—people in their early 20s to middle 30s—who grew up with the Internet, with its quick and easy access to information. HR must leverage social media to recruit them, and provide them with “always on” status and information including mobile capabilities on the job.
Q: How does technology enable HR organizations to deal with these challenges?
Richards: Human capital management solutions, such as Oracle HCM Cloud, give HR managers and employees the tools to succeed. For instance, leadership development tools enable managers to use talent intelligence to identify high-potential employees and establish a succession process. HR self-service capabilities allow employees to interact with data such as payroll anytime, anywhere. Technology provides the medium to connect the employee and the employer together for a productive, satisfying experience. In terms of recruitment, talent management tools enable HR to identify and interact with potential employees all over the world.
Q: What value does Capgemini bring to Oracle HCM customers?
Richards: Capgemini can bring a smart mix of HR vision, digital transformation thought leadership, and leading process knowledge. With our Oracle Diamond-level partnership and experience, we help HR organizations achieve fast, concrete benefits and enable them to prepare for the future. Supported by robust methodologies specific to Oracle technologies, our global HCM team enables rapid implementation with defined deliverables and results.
