Most US workers did not take all their vacation last year, according to a LinkedIn study, and 70% of American vacationers stayed connected to work email while away. Vacation anxiety—the fear of falling behind—is a real thing, but you can combat it by upgrading your ideas about time off, says career and life coach Rosanne Callens. Read a leadership book, take a class, or learn a new skill so “you come back recharged and excited and even more productive, bringing new knowledge and experiences that you can share with coworkers,” she says.
