Update to OBIEE Chrome 30 issue

Guest Author

A few days ago we blogged about the issue with OBIEE and Chrome update 30.

Please note Patch 16068402 has just been posted to My Oracle Support (https://support.oracle.com). Download and apply this patch to OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1.

For those using 11.1.1.6.x please upgrade to latest patchset.
The fix is included in 11.1.1.6.10 and above (so in 11.1.1.6.11, 11.1.1.6.12 automatically).

This is also explained in KM article:

OBIEE 11g: Chrome 30 and Pop-up Windows not Displayed
Doc ID 1590991.1

Update 11-Feb-2014: Please note patchsets 11.1.1.7.131017 (released Oct 25) and 11.1.1.7.140114 (released Jan 15) supercede this patch, Chrome 30 will work.

Thanks for the update. I have two questions:

    1) When I search for patch 16068402 on My Oracle Support it just brings up what appear to be patches for 11.1.1.6.10-12. Am I doing something wrong or is there a different patch number for 11.1.1.7.1?

    2) We are currently on 11.1.1.7.0 - is there a patch for this version or do I need to install 11.1.1.7.1 and then apply the chrome fix patch on top of that?

    Hi Matt,

I've added a hyperlink to the patch id which should take you directly to the patch download.

You'll need to upgrade to 11.1.1.7.1 to apply the patch.

Thank you for answering my questions. The direct link worked for me.

    Hi,

I installed patch 16068402 successfully, but no luck to open calendar in Chrome.

My Chrome version is 38 and OBIEE is 11g.

    Any comments?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I cannot see any reference in above note and bug in regards to calendar.

Since this probably should be investigated further, and blog is not the best place for that, could I ask you to please open a Service Request or a new thread in Communities?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Martin
