Oracle Crystal Ball Statement of Direction (Doc ID 2520731.1)

This document provides an overview of the strategic plans and future direction of Oracle Crystal Ball.

Executive Overview

Oracle Crystal Ball is a spreadsheet-based application for risk measurement and reporting, Monte Carlo simulation, time-series forecasting and optimization. Crystal Ball provides a realistic and accessible way of modeling uncertainty enabling you to measure and report on the risk inherent in your key metrics.

Oracle Crystal Ball Enterprise Performance Management Edition (Oracle Crystal Ball EPM) is Crystal Ball for Enterprise implementations. With Oracle Crystal Ball EPM, the power of Crystal Ball was extended by performing simulations directly on Oracle Enterprise Performance Management and other Oracle applications.

Oracle’s Product Strategy

The terminal release of Oracle Crystal Ball is 11.1.2.4; plans do not call for inclusion of Oracle Crystal Ball in the next major release of Enterprise Performance Management System, release 11.2. Oracle’s strategic direction is to provide similar capabilities through Planning and Budgeting Cloud and Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud.

Oracle will continue to support and maintain Oracle Crystal Ball as specified in the Applications Lifetime Support Policy.
