  • matteo Friday, October 30, 2015

Yes, OBIEE 12c is available on "Oracle Software Delivery Cloud" since last 29th of October.

  • Sebastian Tuesday, November 17, 2015

The latest release I could find in "Software Delivery Cloud" is 11.1.1.7.0 What do I have to configure to find the latest 12c release? In "My oracle Support" I also couldn't find anything newer than Patchset 11.1.1.9.5.

    Thx in advance

    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,

I had a look on Delivery Cloud, and the most basic package I can find for 12c is the "Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Extended Edition" - search on "OBIEE" to get it listed.

Though the packages on Oracle Technet should be the same:

    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-enterprise-edition/downloads/business-intelligence-2717951.html

In regards to the patches, 11.1.1.9.5 is the latest for 11.1.1.9 - there is no patchset available yet for 12c.

Please check Note 1488475.1 for latest patchsets on 11g versions, and Note 2070465.1 for 12c version.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Martin

    I dont see OBIEE 12c certification with Oracle E Business Suite 12.1.3 and 12.2.4 ,12.2.5 .

Moreover , looks like it is not certified on Oracle Solaris on SPARC.

When can we expect these certifications ?

    Thanks,

    Abhilash

  • Ian Monday, November 30, 2015

    Abhilash,

Look at the System Requirements and Supported Platforms for Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c (12.2.1) (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/fusion-middleware/documentation/fmw-1221certmatrix-2739738.xlsx).

From the OBIEE ERP-Apps & Other DataSources tab, EBS 12.* is certified with OBIEE 12c. So that is any version of EBS 12.

From the System tab, OBIEE 12c is certified on Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit) version 11 update 2+.

    Thanks Ian ,

However , if you look at the certifications on MOS , it says Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 12.2.1.0.0 is not certified on Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit) 11 and oracle e business suite .

I would like to understand what is the difference in the certifications. Or could it be that it has not been updated on MOS.

Moreover, an important Note 2068950.2 - Information Center: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Release 12C is not publicly available.

    Thanks,

    Abhilash

    Abhilash,

    Note 2068950.2 is now published.

Looking at the Certifications tab on MOS, I see OBIEE 12.2.1 certified with Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit) 11.

For certification with E-Business Suite, search on E-Business and then look at all the products in Middleware. You'll see that OBIEE is broken down by component, with 12.2.1 listed as certified version.

    Ian Bristow

    Hi Sher,

    Please read article:

  • Radkov Wednesday, January 13, 2016

    Hi,

Is OBIEE 12C is certified with RHEL6?

    Regards,

  • Martin Thursday, January 14, 2016

    Hi Radkov,

similar to an earlier question end of Nov, please have a look at the System Requirements and Supported Platforms for Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c (12.2.1) (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/fusion-middleware/documentation/fmw-1221certmatrix-2739738.xlsx).

Checking on the System tab, and reducing OS Version to RHEL, you will end up with two certifications for RHEL 6.

Please heed the requirements regarding OS Update Level (6+) and the JDK (Oracle 1.8.0_51+)

    Thanks and Regards,

    Martin
