New features document needs oracle support id?

Can it be made publicly available..like other documentation?

  • guest Saturday, May 16, 2015

How to get New features in OBIEE doc if oracle support id is not available?

  • Ian Tuesday, May 19, 2015

If you can get to the documentation (https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/11119/biee/docs.htm) and click on Books, then you can step through each of the OBIEE guides and pick out the new features listed in them.

Is there any information on the Out of the Box reports added?

  • Jules Thursday, June 4, 2015

So that I can answer your question, Can you please let me know which Out of the Box (OOTB) reports you are referring to? OBIEE does not provide OOTB reports. Could it be Oracle Business Intelligence Applications OBIA? Jules.

    Hi Jules,

Thank you for your response. Yes I meant OBIA, sorry. I know this is a new release and am looking for a list of the OOB reports and dashboards. I have it for, so just trying to analyse the difference.

    Thank you,

The latest release of OBIA is I have detailed the 2 notes which contain the Product/Content guides. I hope they are what you are looking for.

OBIA 11g - BI Applications Product Guides (Doc ID 2012034.1)

BI Applications Content Guide (Doc ID 1674181.1)

Just a heads up, OBIEE is not certified against OBIA 11g.

    Hi Jules,

We have recently purchased BI Foundation Suite and already have BI APPS license. We are planning to install BI APPS and would prefer to have latest version of OBIEE ( as well. As you pointed out, i guess this is not an option for now. However, i would like to know

    1. If oracle has any timeframe to make OBIEE compatibale with BIAPPS or

    2. If we implement BIAPPS with OBIEE now, would it be possible to upgrade to OBIEE without having to re-implement BIAPPS?

    Thanks for your response,

Is there a documented upgrade path from or is it a complete reinstall?

A quick look at the doc and the the upgrade discussed in from 10.x

  • Martin Tuesday, July 7, 2015

unfortunately there is no timeframes we can provide for any certification of combination of products.

    Srini / Ken,

there are two upgrade paths available - a complex one from 10g, and an easy one from previous 11g versions ...

    Please review documentation at

Section: Patch Oracle BI from an Earlier 11g release

    Thanks and Regards,
