Where can I learn about migrating from on-premises to EPM Cloud with the new migration documentation?

Thank you to James Chacko, Senior Principal UA Developer, for the presentation on this topic.

  • Hyperion Data Relationship Management to Enterprise Data Management Cloud

Available Migration Paths:

  • Hyperion Planning: 11.1.2.1,  11.1.2.3, and 11.1.2.4
    • 11.1.2.1 migration documentation available from My Oracle Support
  • Hyperion Financial Management: 11.1.2.3 and 11.1.2.4
    • Uses EPM Cloud Migration Accelerator. Utility and documentation available from My Oracle Support
  • Hyperion Financial Close Management: 11.1.2.4.250 and newer
  • Hyperion Profitability: 11.1.2.4.x
    • Uses the Standard to Management Ledger Migration Utility to export artifacts of Standard Profitability applications to a template file
    • Uses Export Template command to packages Management Ledger applications

What is NOT Supported:

  • Horizontal Hyperion Planning modules such as Workforce Planning, Capital Asset Planning, Project Financial Planning, and Public Sector Planning and Budgeting
  • EPM Architect-enabled Planning applications
  • Enterprise Resource Planning Integrator

The Migration Process:

  • The process consists of a two stage migration; which entails migrating security and migrating application artifacts.
  • Optional process is to configure data loads using Data Management in EPM Cloud:
    • Create a custom data extraction process to export data to a delimited file; map and load into cloud
    • Use on-premises FDMEE by leveraging the Hybrid Integration and data load to EPM Cloud
