Hyperion Product Management have announced the release of a Migration Utility for Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management.

This download is available from My Oracle Support | Patches & Updates, and provides a utility to migrate from Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) to Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management, Enterprise Edition (FDMEE).

Supported FDM Versions

The supported releases for migration with this utility are:

  • Source Version

    - FDM: Releases 11.1.1.x and 11.1.2.x.

    - ERPI-FDM releases
    Note: ERPI-FDM & are not supported.

  • Target Version

    - FDMEE releases: or higher


Before beginning the migration, ensure that

  • FDM - is a fully running environment
  • ODI Studio - is installed and configured (refer *Note below)
  • FDMEE - is installed and configured

*Note: The Oracle Database Integrator (ODI) is installed as part of FDMEE installation. For
more information on Oracle Database Integrator (ODI) refer to Oracle Technology Network (OTN) website for ODI Overview, ODI Downloads and ODI Documentation.


The "Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management Release Migration Guide" has been made available, and provides an overview to the FDM Migration and details on how the migration works, along with the Installation, Pre and Post Migration Steps.

This Migration Guide is included in Patch 21379349 download and is also provided via the Oracle Help Center documentation:

Migrated Artifacts:

The migrated FDM artifacts and their equivalent or similar artifacts in FDMEE is provided (table format) within the Migration Guide.

It is important to note that some FDM Artifacts or FDM Metadata Artifacts will not be migrated, which includes:

  • VB Scripts (not migrated or converted)
  • Security Setup
  • Log information
  • Archive information
  • Import File from FDM File system
