Automation Error in FDM – what can you do?

(in via Mel)

Have you ever seen an Automation Error in FDM not knowing why this happened?
Do you need to log a Service Request to get this resolved?

No, there should be no need to log a Service Request.

With the help of  KM Doc ID 1441863.1 -TROUBLESHOOTING Financial Data Quality Management Error "Automation Error" you will be able to see the main identified causes for this error and with the provided solution you may be able to fix this by yourself.

Should this not help, why not post in the Hyperion FDM Community? We are happy to assist with any issue in here and will make sure that new causes and solutions get added to KM Doc 1441863.1 as they come in.
