Product naming aligned for SmartView, Calculation Manager and Quantitative Management

(in via Susan)

In an ever evolving world of software names, versions and systems it is sometimes necessary to decide on ONE term to be used for a particular piece of software.

In order to maintain our naming convention, a few of our products have recently been given a makeover and have aligned their names from

Hyperion Smart View to
Oracle Smart View for Office

Calculation Manager to
Hyperion Calculation Manager

Oracle Insurance Quantitative Management and Reporting for Hyperion Financial Management to
Oracle Quantitative Management and Reporting for Solvency II

This will from now on be used for ARU and MOS alike.

Having said this, chances are that customers using these products will not be affected much by this, as e.g Service Requests will still be sorted under the product that Smart View runs against.

The new name only applies when searching for patches via ARU or via MOS. These should now be easier to track.
So, for patching purposes it may be nice to know that there is now one name for these products to be used throughout Oracle's systems.

We still separate the products in the EPM Community into

Essbase - sub category SmartView
Planning - sub category SmartView
HFM - sub category SmartView
Hyperion Reporting Products - sub category SmartView
Hyperion other Products - sub category SmartView
OBIEE - sub category SmartView
FDM - sub category SmartView

Calculation Manager - Essbase
Calculation Manager - Planning
Calculation Manager - HFM

QMR - Solvency II
