(in via Ian)

We are pleased to announce the release of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition - OBIEE 11.1.1.6.9 Bundle Patch on March 8, 2013

11.1.1.6.9 bundle patch is now available for download from  My Oracle Support.

Bundled Patch Details

  • (1 of 7) Oracle Business Intelligence Installer. 16287811
  • (2 of 7) Oracle Real Time Decisions.  16287778
  • (3 of 7) Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher.  16237960
  • (4 of 7) Oracle Business Intelligence ADF Components.  16287840
  • (5 of 7) Enterprise Performance Management Components Installed from BI Installer 11.1.1.6.x.  16287854
  • (6 of 7) Oracle Business Intelligence.  16227549
  • (7 of 7) Oracle Business Intelligence Platform Client Installers and MapViewer  16287884

(all links now corrected (26.03.2013) - sorry for the initial mistake)

Comments:

It seems that the latest patch does not indicate the patch number. Usually it's "Patch 11.1.1.6.x (1 of 7)" Now the 11.1.1.6.9 entry is just "Patch (1 of 7)".

This makes it hard to find the latest patch and is completely different from all other past releases.

Is there some other column I should be using to identify the latest patch in Oracle support.

Thanks

-John

Dear John,

thanks for pointing this out.
I have tried to mail you back, but it seems that the email address you left was incorrect.

Anyway - we have forwarded the missing patch number to Product Development and hope that they will add the patch number to the patch description soon.

If we receive feedback from Development about this or note that the description has changed, then we will post about that here.
best regards

Hello guest,
the first patch in the patchset (1 of 7) contains a readme file with detailed installation instructions. According to our OBIEE people you are safe if you follow these steps.
Hope this helps

How to apply the upgrade patch to a client OBIEE only

OBIEE client only is installed on a server. So the OPatch folder is not there

How to upgrade the patch?
Thanks

FMP,

The readme should give you instructions on how to upgrade the client tools. You do not need OPatch to do this. Essentially all you do is uninstall the client tools and then re-install them. But follow the instructions in the readme file.

Ian Bristow
