With the recent "My Oracle Support" 6.7 release a nice new feature was implemented ...
From within My Oracle Support you can now choose between opening a thread in Communities or opening a normal Service Request.
Scenario: You have logged into My Oracle Support (MOS) and searched the Knowledge Base, however want to clarify some details or find more information. What is the next step? Where to go?
The MOS Communities is the ideal place to raise those questions.
After selecting the Service Request tab in MOS you are now provided with the "Ask In Community" button. A single click and you are taken directly into the MOS Communities to ask those product specific questions.
Obviously the Communities cannot (and are not intended to) replace MOS and the Service Request process. They are a complementary service for quick and easy alternative to solve questions and issues.
Why not give it a try next time you run into trouble with your product and need assistance.
