Sometimes the best features get "hidden" by product development teams, and they need to be uncovered in order to be appreciated. I know from personal experience that some of my favorite features on my Smart-phone are 4-6 menus deep in the "Settings" and I have to search the internet for tips on how to enable them.
There's a powerful feature on the My Oracle Support (MOS) system that is relatively hidden, that you may wish to take a look at. When you first log into MOS, you'll see a small rectangular box next to the other tabs that says, "More..." If you click it (who doesn't want "more?"), you'll be able to pick, "Settings."
On the left side of the Settings page, you'll see several Personal or Administrative aspects of MOS for which you can customize your settings. Have a look at the "Hot Topics" section. Notice that by default, this is turned "OFF." If you enable it, you'll get emails about all sorts of fabulous goodies like:
- New Knowledge Base Articles
- Product News
- De-Support Notices
- and More...
