WebCenter Customer Spotlight: University of Louisville

At Oracle Openworld 2012 the University of Louisville won the prestigious Oracle WebCenter innovation award for their implementation of the LOUI (Louisville Informatics Institute) Initiative, a Statewide Informatics Network, which will improve public healthcare and lower cost through the use of novel technology and next generation analytics, decision support and innovative outcomes-based payment systems.

Solution Summary
The University of Louisville (UofL)  is a state supported research university located in  Louisville, Kentucky, USA. When founded in 1798, it was the first city-owned public university in the United States.

UofL business objective was to develop tools that improve the acquisition, management, communication, processing, and sharing of healthcare information.

As part of the LOUI (Louisville Informatics Institute) Initiative, they implemented Oracle WebCenter Portal to provide a secure, personalized, and rich user experience and Oracle WebCenter Content  for the management of unstructured content and digital assets (such as streaming video) that  supports the on-going patient education, wellness, and treatment. Using the Oracle WebCenter products, the University of Louisville is now providing the infrastructure for their Facebook for medicine.

This project is anticipated to produce an annualized Return on Investment of 277% based on avoidance of hospitalizations, earlier intervention and improved patient compliance that is matched to an outcomes-based reimbursement model.

WebCenter Customer Spotlight: Organization of America States

The Organization of American States (OAS) brings together all 35 independent states of the Americas and is the primary political, judicial, and social government forum in the Western Hemisphere.

OAS’ mission focuses on human rights advocacy, which is carried out via the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR).

The objective of the project was to manage more efficiently large volume of documentation to accelerate the petition process while reducing the security risks associated with routing paper-based petition files for internal reviews.

OAS deployed Oracle WebCenter Content for IACHR to automate and expedite petition and case processing.

OAS gained the ability to efficiently and securely manage 1,500 new human rights petitions each year as well as 8,000 ongoing petitions,improving traceability and visibility, as well as accelerating petition processes.

OAS received international recognition for the implementation, including being named a 2011 Computerworld Honors Program Laureate, and the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) 2011 Carl E. Nelson Best Practices Award

WebCenter Customer Spotlight: American Home Mortgage


American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc. (AHMSI) is a 3,000 employee company based in Coppell, Texas and provide services to homeowners and loan investors. With a multibillion portfolio under management, AHMSI is one of the country's largest servicers of Alt-A and subprime loans.

AHMSI implemented a public-facing secure Web portal using Oracle WebCenter Suite to help investors make informed decisions more quickly and automated much of the investor approval process
AHMS reduced the time needed to process loan modification from approximately 30 days to one week. Using Oracle WebCenter Content AHMS can now share strategic & sensitive content in compliance with the various governance regulations.
