Oracle VM Templates: Oracle PeopleSoft CRM 9.1 and PeopleTools 8.50 (64-bit only)


Continuing our delivery of Oracle VM Templates for PeopleSoft we have a new addition to the Oracle VM Templates site, the availability of PeopleSoft CRM 9.1 and PeopleTools 8.50 virtual machines.

In advance of the Oracle VM page being updated on OTN, here are the important details:

This fully functional PeopleSoft OVM environment is deployed as two VMs. These VMs are built from two separate templates :
  • Application Database
  • PIA and AppBatch

Oracle E-Delivery Instructions:
Visit edelivery.oracle.com/oraclevm
Complete your registration information (Name, Company Name, Email Address and Country) and click on the download agreement
Select "Oracle VM Templates" from the "Select a Product Pack" pull-down menu
Select "x86 64 bit" from the "Platform" pull-down menu
Click "Go" and then select from the list of Oracle VM Templates
PeopleSoft VM Templates for CRM 9.1 Release Media Pack for x86_64 (64 bit)
Download and unzip the files and read the readme

As with the the previous HCM template, there are support considerations of which you should be aware:

If you have any issues, please check the Wiki and discussion forums first. Someone may have already resolved a issue similar to yours, and your posted issue will help the community.
If you have no product licenses
Your only support option is in the community, based on the Wiki and discussion forums.
If you only have a PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM license
You can call your normal support number or raise an SR through My Oracle Support, but if you or the PeopleSoft GSC analyst determine the issue is with the Oracle DB or Oracle Enterprise Linux or Oracle VM, your only support option is in the community, based on the Wiki and discussion forums.
If you only have an Oracle DB license
You can call your normal support number or raise an SR through My Oracle Support, but if you or the Oracle DB analyst determine the issue is with the PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM or Oracle Enterprise Linux or Oracle VM, your only support option is in the community, based on the Wiki and discussion forums.
If you only have an Oracle VM and/or Oracle Enterprise Linux license
You can call your normal support number or raise an SR through My Oracle Support, but if you or the Oracle Linux analyst determine the issue is with the PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM or Oracle DB, your only support option is in the community, based on the Wiki and discussion forums.
If you have licensed PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM, Oracle DB and Oracle Enterprise Linux/Oracle VM, then Oracle support will manage the Service Request, whatever support number you normally call.


If you intend to use the PeopleSoft OVM Templates in production use:
  • Purchase support for Oracle Unbreakable Linux and Oracle VM
  • Purchase license/support for Oracle DB
  • Purchase license/support for Oracle PeopleSoft - please contact Oracle Direct at 1-800-672-2531 (press option 7), or see Oracle Price Lists for available PeopleSoft products.
