Now Available – HCM Update Image 9.2.17

We are pleased to announce the availability of the latest Update Image for PeopleSoft HCM.  This image contains many new features and capabilities, across a broad range of products.  Some of the most important items include:
  • Company Directory Enhancements – Improvements include a simplified landing page for the company directory, including Favorites and Recently Viewed employees, a newly designed profile page, filters and facets for quick and easy searching on small devices, and the option to view locations on a map.
  • Manager ‘View As My Team’ – Managers now have the ability to quickly switch their view in the My Team tile to show what one of the managers in their organization will see.  This allows quick and easy access to the direct reports of any manager in your reporting hierarchy, for viewing or taking related actions.
  • Self Service Matrix Teams – Employees can now create and manage matrix teams, of any type, via simple and easy self service available from any device. Team members can be added, and if needed, a hierarchy can be defined within the matrix team.  Additional capabilities include updating information for the matrix team, as well as transferring ownership of the team.
  • Recruiting Solutions Print Enhancements – print applications for one or more candidates, including attachments such as resumes or cover letters.   Print information is completely configurable, including printing for one or more candidates in a single file, which sections of the application to include, print output type (pdf file or report), and more.
  • Workforce Availability – this is a significant new feature for Time & Labor customers, that provides supervisors and managers to track the status of employees from any device, at any time.  Monitor schedules, availability, deviations, and absences, and more.  Contact an employee or take actions such as Replace Schedules, View Timesheets, or Approve Overtime with the related actions immediately available for each employee.
There are many additional new capabilities available in Update Image 17.  To get a quick overview, we recommend you watch the brand new Image Highlights, PeopleSoft HCM Update Image 17, now available on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgSQ6sfhomo.  This video is the first of it’s kind, providing a quick overview of each of the new features and capabilities delivered in the image.  We will be producing these videos on a regular basis for all of our images.

In addition to the video, we recommend you review the Cumulative Features Overview Tool (www.peoplesoftcfotool.com), as well as downloading the Update Image for a complete list of contents and to try out the new features in action.  See the HCM Update Image Home Page on My Oracle Support for instructions and the link to the Update Image.
