A cold, late February wind blew as I crossed the Champs Elysees on route back to my Paris hotel. Myself and key members of the PeopleSoft product team including Tracy Martin (Senior Director PeopleSoft HCM Product Management), Amira Morcos (Senior Director PeopleSoft Financials Product Management), and Jeff Robbins (Senior Director PeopleSoft Product Management) had just concluded the first of three PeopleSoft user group events in Europe. The Paris, France event, like the other events in Utrecht, Netherlands and London, England were rousing successes; each event drawing between 100 and 150 attendees. Learn more about these three events and the user groups behind them here:
The European PeopleSoft user community, like all PeopleSoft user communities around the world, was very hungry for not only information on PeopleSoft and its roadmap, but also information on Oracle Fusion Applications and what they mean to them as PeopleSoft customers. We were happy to oblige them. In the end, the event attendees walked away reassured about the future of PeopleSoft and that Oracle Fusion Applications are intended to compliment and co-exist with PeopleSoft applications – not replace PeopleSoft applications. I am not the only one who thinks these events were a success. Check out ComputerWorld UK’s take on the London event here.
