Leverage the Power of Your PeopleSoft Investment With User Conference Participation!!!

As an Oracle PeopleSoft strategy manager of over 10 years, I feel very fortunate to have had opportunities to participate in several dozen user group Oracle-sponsored conferences. Over the years I am able to hear directly from customers how they have optimized and benefited from the use of their PeopleSoft Procurement applications. Conferences are a great way for customers to network with others and build lasting relationships. I have developed some amazing relationships with customers over the years through attending these conferences.

In the area of PeopleSoft Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) / Procurement, there are five large conferences I would like to share with you. If you are a PeopleSoft customer, or work with PeopleSoft customers, these may be of interest to you.

The Alliance Conference is affiliated with the Higher Education / Public Sector User Group (HEUG at www.heug.org). This year, the Alliance 16 Conference was held in Seattle, WA, in March of 2016 where thousands of Oracle PeopleSoft customers participated in educational sessions and Advisory Board meetings. One of the big topics of discussion at this year’s Alliance for PeopleSoft Procurement and Financials customers was PeopleSoft Supplier Registration and Supplier Change Management functionality, including a panel discussion on how a few customers are choosing to implement the new Supplier Registration solution that was delivered in Release 9.2.

The Oracle Collaborate 16 Conference was held in Las Vegas this past April. This conference is jointly presented by the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) and Quest International Users Group (Quest at www.questdirect.org). The majority of the PeopleSoft Procurement related presentations fall within the Quest User Group. This year’s strategy-presented sessions included the PeopleSoft Future Roadmap, PeopleSoft Fluid Applications, and a session on Hidden Gems in PeopleSoft Procurement that received an average of 5 out of 5 stars on session content, as voted by attendees of the session.

PeopleSoft strategy is currently preparing to participate in the upcoming Interact 16 Conference in San Antonio, TX, June 12th through 15th. If you happen to be a PeopleSoft customer in the Healthcare Industry, this conference is for you! It is put together by the Healthcare Industry User Group (HIUG at www.hiug.org) and will be full of sessions geared to helping customers optimize their procurement and supply chain operations using PeopleSoft applications. Customers will be presenting implementation strategies, how they are leveraging certain tools in the products, best practices and much more. PeopleSoft strategy will be presenting and demoing new functionality leveraging the new Fluid and Responsive User Interface and sharing details on the future planned roadmap.

In July, PeopleSoft strategy will be headed to Rosemont, IL, to participate in Oracle’s Reconnect 16 Conference. Reconnect is the PeopleSoft-specific deep-dive conference for technical and functional users within the Quest International Users Group (Quest at www.questdirect.org) community, offering in-depth "how-to" education and networking opportunities across all of PeopleSoft’s key industries. Members of the cross-industry Source to Settlement PeopleSoft User Group (S2S PUG at http://www.questdirect.org/group/ShowGroupFeatures.do?groupId=177152) participate in the Reconnect conference as well. This is another excellent conference full of networking opportunities and presentations from customers and PeopleSoft strategy.

Finally wrapping up the 2016 conference season is Oracle Open World (OOW at www.oracle.com/openworld) in San Francisco in September. This knock-your-socks-off conference includes a PeopleSoft Procurement specific track of sessions. In addition to sessions, you’ll be able to check out Oracle partners and Oracle PeopleSoft product demos run by the experts who helped build the products.

We hope to see you at an upcoming conference soon!

Collaborate 2016 - PeopleSoft Customers Buzzing in Las Vegas

Last week, the Quest International User Group did not disappoint with a busy and eventful Collaborate 2016 at the Mandalay Bay Conference Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The 5,700 plus customers in attendance were very engaged and actively contributed to the buzz with PeopleSoft, particularly around the value proposition of upgrading to HCM 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.55.  PeopleSoft customers in attendance was up from last year's conference.  About 70% of the PeopleSoft customers surveyed at the conference were already on 9.2 or in the middle of upgrading. With all the talk about 9.2, there was plenty of focus on how customers are making the most of the PeopleSoft Update Manager tool to selectively adopt new Fluid enabled capabilities, explore new application functionality, and stay current with regulatory/legislative compliance updates such as the Affordable Care Act.  There were also many interesting customer- and partner-led sessions on how to make the most of new 9.2 application features and the new capabilities available with PeopleTools.  Video of the Exhibitor Hall opening up on Day 1 --> https://vimeo.com/questinternational/review/163716762/dcf33ba3fe

As the conference came to a close, we announced the General Availability of HCM Image #17 available for download from www.peoplesoftinfo.com.  For a video preview of all the features available with Image #17, click on the following video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgSQ6sfhomo

Just as a reminder for those who missed Collaborate this year, you have a second chance to socialize and connect with other PeopleSoft customers, PeopleSoft subject matter experts, and Product Managers at the Quest RECONNECT conference in Rosemont (Chicago), Illinois July 19th - 21st.  See you there.
