FSCM Update Image#37 has gone GA on September 20.

Like any other PUM image, it contains several fixes for the bugs and many important new functional enhancements. Customers can selectively adopt new features and enhancements using the PeopleSoft Update Manager.

If you haven’t paid attention to PI#37 here are some highlights:

Billing:

Restart BI Publisher Process

Enhanced the BI Publisher process to restart and track emails sent. If the BI Publish process errors during processing, the system tracks the emails that are sent. Therefore, when the BI Publisher process is restarted, the system starts where it error-ed and only sends emails that were not previously sent.

India Invoice Registration (GST 2020)

Enhanced Bill entry for India invoices to support the India legislative changes for 2020. Enhancements include the ability to create trading partners, an e-invoice, and a new process that generates inbound and outbound messages. This process (in conjunction with Oracle Consulting service) saves the Invoice Reference Number (IRN) in Billing tables. PeopleSoft Billing generates the file and customers can work with other third-party partners for the bi-directional communication with the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP).

Expenses:

Accounting Tags for Expense Reports and Travel Authorizations

Enhanced the Expense Report and Travel Authorization accounting feature to use Accounting Tags. Accounting Tags are optional and are in place of individual ChartFields on accounting detail pages. Accounting Tags populate the correct ChartFields and accounting information into Expense Reports and Travel Authorization, ensuring faster approval and payment processing.

Controlling Transactions During Period Close by Journal Source

Added the journal source security feature that restricts access to users based on the permission added to the user or role, for a specific journal source. This feature also restricts journal posting during period end based on the defined cut-off schedule.

Buyers can also view acknowledgment history for purchase orders.

eProcurement

Create Requisition Feature Enhancements

Enhanced Fluid Requisition to provide eProcurement users with additional capabilities while creating requisitions. The category search option enables users to search for items across all categories or a specific category, such as Catalog, Favorites, Templates, and Web Suppliers. The Schedule Detail page allows users to view how the current price of the item has been calculated. If substitutes exist for an item, search results display a clickable Substitute Item link. Users can view the substitute items defined for the original item and manually override the auto-substituted item. The Contract Search option on the Line Details page allows to perform advanced searches for contracts to be applied to the requisition line.

Receiving for all Ship To's

Inventory Management:

Partial Item Substitution Enhancement

Enhanced the Reservation process to search for one or more substitution items in priority order, when the stock is insufficient to fulfill demand. If there is an inventory shortage, the system checks for all eligible substitute items. The process continues with multiple substitutes in sequence, until the demand is met. If the demand remains unfulfilled, a back order for the original item is either created or cancelled based on the reservation rule set up.

Inventory Counts by one User Defined Field

Enhanced the Manual Count process by allowing users to select one of the user-defined fields as selection criteria when creating a Counting Event. The Item Selection window displays the items that match the specified criteria. The Item ID and Description fields can be used to narrow the item list. Users can select individual or multiple items.
