PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) Image 23 brings several new features and enhancements to the product. One of the top features to take notice of is the inclusion of Learning Insights, which is an analytic dashboard. It was delivered as a PRP prior to the release of Image 23 but is now included in the image release. Further features include fluidization of manager self-service as well as the fluidization of Plans and Objectives in learner self-service.
Learning Insights
Originally delivered as a PRP the learning insights allows for managers and administrators to utilize Oracle Insights to bring real or near real-time data to the manager and administrator via visualizations based on indexes. With Image 23 Oracle has delivered 4 Insight dashboards for ELM, for managers and administrators. These dashboards allow for the manager to have easy and quick access to information about the learner’s learning progress and history. Insights allow for visualizations based on mandatory learning as well as voluntary learning. Certification dashboards allow for managers and administrators to quickly view information regarding the validity of a learner’s certifications and evaluate when certifications are coming up for expiration or recertification.
Fluid Manager Self-Service
With the fluidization of Manager Self-Service managers now have the ability to manage their teams’ learning on the device of choice using a modern and intuitive user interface. Managers can view team members (employees and non-employees) who they have access to for enrollments into classes and registration into programs. Managers have the ability to track the progress of learners and determine if they are meeting learning objectives.
Furthermore, managers now have the ability to manage the learners plans and objectives within the system giving them a full picture of the learner and what the learner may need to work on that is assigned based on the job the learner has within HCM. Managers can also enter or approve supplemental learning that is done outside of the PeopleSoft ELM system.
Learner Fluid Plans and Objectives
With the fluidization of learner plans and objectives this completes the fluidization of learner self-service. Plans and Objectives allows for the learner to view any learning plans that either they or their manager has put into place for them while objectives allow for the learner to view needed objectives that have been assigned, either by the system or the manager, that need to be completed by the learner. Objectives can be auto assigned by the HCM system via an integration with PeopleSoft Performance Management (ePerformance).
Notification Composer
Notification composer is a new feature that is being rolled out to all PeopleSoft products. PeopleSoft ELM Image 23 rolled out notification composer for use with manager approvals if enabled in PeopleSoft Approval Workflow Engine (AWE). This allows for managers to select the preferred notification method for being notified of pending approvals for enrollments and registrations. If the organization requires approvals for enrollments or registrations the administrator will need to setup the available notification preferences within notification composer.
PeopleSoft ELM Image 23 brings many new features and functionality that will ultimately have a positive impact on your managers, learners, and administrators. PeopleSoft ELM is delivered on PeopleTools 8.60 and is part of our continued innovation and commitment to the PeopleSoft ELM product.
