“Safety First”. Employers are responsible for protecting their employees, as well as members of the public when they are involved with their organization. With the recent rise in COVID cases, President Biden announced on September 9, 2021 that all U.S. Federal employees and contractors must be fully vaccinated by January 4, 2021. OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) issued an emergency temporary standard (ETS) for employers with 100 workers or more by mandating employees are fully vaccinated or submit to weekly COVID-19 testing.
Recently the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay temporarily blocking OSHA’s ETS for businesses while the federal mandate is uncertain (due to pending legal challenges), employers may want to continue to prepare for the ETS, if it does take effect. Currently there are also numerous state/county mandates requiring vaccination for employees (example healthcare workers) so if your organization is under a mandate, PeopleSoft’s Health & Safety module can help the tracking and monitoring of Employee Vaccination statuses of your workplace employees.
A new feature delivered in Image 40, is the ability for employees (and administrators) to enter and view Vaccination details such as COVID-19. Click on the Blog link to find out more about this feature.
To help organizations with the tracking and analysis, we recently delivered Vaccination Analytics as a special posting – see the special posting detail below.
Using the Health & Safety Administrator Analytics Dashboard, the Administrator can monitor and track employee vaccination status.
Oracle delivered the following Vaccination Kibana Analytics:
The Vaccination Summary shows the number and percentages of employees who are fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated, decline vaccine and not vaccinated
The Vaccination Status by Vaccine shows a summary of all the vaccines you are tracking for employees (ex. Flu). Click on COVID-19 to see just COVID-19 test results.
The Vaccination Location shows where the employee received their COVID-19 vaccination, the workplace or offsite (example CVS). This analytics helps you in tracking if employees are being vaccinated at a work location or prefer a non-work location to receive their vaccination.
The Vaccines Declined by Reason shows the reason by percentage why employees are declining a vaccine (example – medical or religious exemptions).
Vaccination Status by Age Group analytic shows by age group the number of employees who have been vaccinated, partially vaccinated, declined or not vaccinated.
Vaccination Status by Current Sex analytics shows by current sex (gender) who has been vaccinated, partially vaccinated, declined or not vaccinated.
The Vaccination History shows a time lapse of when employees received their COVID-19 vaccination. The analytic is helpful in analyzing peak period of immunization – like the month of May had an increase as COVID-19 vaccination became available for most age groups and a spike in October when vaccination mandates went into effect for some types of employees (example – healthcare workers).
The Vaccination by Work Location allows you see employees by location who are vaccinated, partially vaccinated, declined or not vaccinated. Certain locations will have higher vaccination rates, if there is a state or local mandate such as in California or Illinois.
Vaccinations by Department analytic shows how many employees by department are vaccinated, partially vaccinated, declined or not vaccinated.
The Vaccination Details displays the vaccination detail information, a summary of the filtered analytics - click on the Go to Health Card hyperlink to view the employee’s vaccination history (ability to view the employee’s PeopleSoft Health Card in the Kibana dashboard).
The Health and Safety administrator can filter and drill down on the data in any of the analytics mentioned above, if they need to see more details regarding vaccination results, like seeing what healthcare workers have not received a COVID-19 vaccination or do not have an exemption.
Learn more about the additional features available in Health & Safety, click on PeopleSoft’s Health and Safety module link.
This feature will be delivered in Image 41 but with more customers needing to track employee vaccination and test results now, we decided to post this as a PeopleSoft Release Patchset (PRP) or ‘special posting’ - PRP 227382/Bug 33537850. Here is the link to PRP download the vaccination and test result analytics feature.
Important Note: Health & Safety is part of your PeopleSoft Human Resource (HR) license. The pre-requisition for Health & Safety analytics is the Vaccination/Testing feature (delivered in image 40) and PeopleTools 8.58.13 or higher.
