In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Oracle has decided to extend the Critical Patch Update (CPU) patch life of PeopleTools 8.56 in order to provide our customers with more flexibility with their PeopleSoft plans.

In line with our documented PeopleTools Technical Support policy, the PeopleTools 8.56 CPU patch support was scheduled to end in October 2020.  Given the unprecedented recent events, Oracle is extending the 8.56 CPU patch cycle for an additional 2 patches, with a new end date in April 2021.  This will give our 8.56 customers an additional 6 months of critical patch support, including the January and April CPU patches in 2021.  This change will be reflected in the Oracle Lifetime Support Policy and in the Lifetime Support Summary for PeopleSoft Releases

This support date will continue to be evaluated as this unprecedented situation unfolds.

For more information, see COVID-19 Updates for PeopleSoft and Oracle's commitment to customers during the COVID-19 crisis.
