If you have read our blog post titled View By Period and Other Fluid Timesheet Enhancements you’ll remember we ended with, ‘This isn’t the first change, and it certainly won’t be the last.‘ As promised, this blog post will walk you through the enhancements to Fluid Time Entry that are part of PUM 49.
Let me first take you through the highly sought-after feature from PeopleSoft – Ideas Lab: Configurable Time Summary Headers, which seamlessly blends the timesheet functionality with a revamped, user-friendly UI.
With the new Configurable Time Summary feature, reports now appear on the Fluid Enter Time page, controlled using the same options under the Time Reporting Template configuration, that managed these reports in the classic interface, ensuring a seamless transition.
The example below displays a configurable time summary for an employee:

These reports utilize the PeopleTools Embedded Related Content Framework, which delivers contextually relevant information and functionality without requiring users to leave the main transaction page.
Reports like Time Summary and Payable Time adapt to the context of the main content, namely the timesheet, and restrict the data display to the selected user and time period. This tailored approach ensures that users receive relevant and precise information aligned with their specific needs. Exceptions, Absences, Leave, and Comp Time help users manage exceptions, review absence balance, and track compensatory time off and balances.
Another enhancement we’ve introduced is the display of precise absence statuses on the fluid time entry pages. Previously, absences were represented singularly regardless of their status. Now, users can view specific statuses such as saved, submitted, approved, denied, or pushed back, providing a clearer understanding of their absence requests. As the icing on the cake, holidays are now included as a status too.
