As the episode begins to play you will get to explore some of the developments in the Australia and New Zealand region influenced by the pandemic. This includes the focus on digital transformation and compliance. You also hear about how employee well-being has become one of the top priorities for not just a CHRO, but for a CFO too.
Chamanthi also talks about various best practices in the podcast that include her views on customizations, Job Data Modernization, Fluid Position Management, and digital transformations. While talking about the cautionary tales of adopting a digital transformation, Chamanthi humorously draws an analogy “…I often talk about this television commercial whereas an analogy it's set in the River Ganges. It's a beautiful day in India and people are going about doing their things like…washing their clothes. They're beating their clothes on top of rocks and on this one particular day a beautiful white washing machine appears out of nowhere. The locals are just mesmerized by what this machine looks like. They're looking at it, they're touching it, they're opening the lid, closing the lid, etc., and the next minute all you see is the people…beating all their clothes on the actual washing machine.” In other words, it’s important to make sure all of your key stakeholders and users know what they can do with the new tools they get with a digital transformation.
This episode closes with Chamanthi talking about the PeopleSoft practice at Deloitte and their investment in understanding new functionalities and features of PeopleSoft.
