PeopleSoft Meets Shark Tank @ Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2015

Guest Author

Maybe you
have seen the show “Shark Tank
where entrepreneurs present their ideas and the best ideas are recognized and rewarded. PeopleSoft meets Shark Tank at this year’s Oracle OpenWorld San
event. Do you have a business challenge that you
would like PeopleSoft to solve? Do you
know what the solution is, but Oracle just hasn’t developed it yet? Now is your chance to tell the PeopleSoft team
your idea and attempt to make it a reality.

The Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2015 session “PeopleSoft
Meets Shark Tank-Pitch What You Want to See in PeopleSoft
” (CON8327) will
consist of conference attendees presenting their ideas on how to use PeopleSoft
to solve a specific business challenge. Selected presenters will have only five (5) minutes to present the
challenge they are addressing and the PeopleSoft solution they are
proposing. Selected presenters can use
these five (5) minutes as they see fit. They can present using slides, demonstrate a prototype/mock up, play a
video, or use sock puppets – whatever best communicates their solution.

PeopleSoft team members will evaluate proposed solutions and select a
winner. Solutions will be judged on the
following criteria:

  • The scope and importance of the
    business challenge to be addressed
  • How well is the business challenge
  • The use of the latest
    PeopleSoft capabilities (for example, PeopleSoft
    Fluid User Interface
    , Pivot Grids,
Activity Guides, WorkCenters, and so on) in solving the
    business challenge
  • Presentation of proposed solution
  • Adherence to the five (5) minute
    maximum presentation time
  • Overall creativity

Winning solutions will be acknowledged on the PeopleSoft blog for their
innovation, creativity, and vision as well as be evaluated for productization and
potential incorporation into the PeopleSoft solution.  Win or lose, every selected participant will walk away with a token of appreciation from the PeopleSoft team.

Space is
limited. No more than eight (8)
organizations will be selected to present. All presenters must be pre-screened and qualifying ideas will be invited
to present at the Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2015 session. To qualify you must submit a one (1) page or
less abstract to me, Marc Weintraub (marc.weintraub@oracle.com)
no later than Friday, October 2nd 2015.

The deadline has been extended through Friday, October 9th 2015!

Your abstract should include:

  • Your name, organization, and contact information
  • The business problem you are addressing
  • A summary of your proposed solution

Qualifying presenters
will be notified during the week ending Friday, October 9, 2015. Both customers as well as partners are
encouraged to participate.

UPDATE: The first four (4) selected qualifying presenters will receive one (1) complimentary pass to Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2015!

Even if you
are not participating by submitting a proposed solution you are invited to
attend the session as an audience member. This should be a fun and exciting Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco 2015
session, I look forward to seeing you all there and hearing your proposals.
