It’s no secret that mobile devices have changed the way we work, live, interact and learn. ‘Mobile’ is not the trend anymore; it is the new reality. With the advent of technologies that enable your global workforce to remain always connected and work from wherever they are, employees no longer keep normal office hours. They now carry their work in their pockets and the same trend reflects in their learning pattern. They prefer to complete learning tasks on the road and from home. In fact, most job roles today do not allow enough time to sit in traditional classroom training to remain compliant or to acquire new skills. Hence, we need modern mobile learning capabilities in our learning application that are simple and easy to use.
PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management is all set to help organizations embrace this change with its all-new Fluid Learner Self-Service. Fluid learner capabilities delivered with ELM Update Image 16 brings a rich and engaging user-experience to the learners in the form of a learning dashboard, fluid catalog and a lot more.
Fluid Learning Dashboard for learners brings to you a one-stop shop for your learners where they can search through the learning catalog for courses and programs, track their active enrollments and review their learning plans and learning objectives. You can personalize this dashboard by adding new tiles to it as per your organizational needs.
'Find learning' is the fluid ‘catalog search’ capability that you can use to find the learning of your choice. Additionally it gives you a hint of any existing enrollment that you may have in one of the learning items in the search results. From the search results, you can select the learning of your choice to find out more information like course abstract and objectives met on completion to decide if you want to pursue that learning or not. You can browse through the topics covered as part of that learning, enroll into the offerings available or just keep it added to your default learning plan.
Once you have enrolled yourself into learning items, you can use ‘My Learning’ in the learning dashboard to view your active learning enrollments and track your learning tasks against target completion dates. You can use the filters to locate a specific enrollment or find out the ones that are due for completion in the near future. You can launch your online courses right from here and the system will play your learning content using Fluid SCORM compliant player. You can also switch to “Planned” or “History” tab to view or take actions on learning items that you have completed in the past or planned for enrollment in the future.
Fluid learner capabilities will help your organizations deliver an intuitive and superior learning experience that matches the expectations of the hyper-connected and on-the-go learners. Your organization can implement an effective mobile learning strategy around this feature to cater to the learning needs of your mobile workforce.
