Enhanced Absence Management Integration with Time and Labor

Alwyn D'Souza
Senior Principal Product Manager

The PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface has played a pivotal role in enhancing the user experience for PeopleSoft customers through simple and intuitive designs.

With this new feature for enhancing Absence Management Integration with Time and Labor, the Oracle PeopleSoft product line is now extending the Fluid User Interface experience to Workforce Administrators.

This feature empowers Administrators to,

  • Be in control of all unprocessed absences and exceptions, which are critical for Payroll function.
  • Process Absence calculations and send Absence payable data to Time and Labor iteratively without finalizing the Absence calendars.

Since Absence payable time is generated iteratively, it would help in monitoring overtime and other costs.

The Absence Administration tile shows unprocessed employees and exception count.

The Generate Absence Payable Time page displays unprocessed Employee Absence count for each Calender Group.

Click to run the Generate Absence Payable Time, which processes absence calculation and generates payable time for the payees associated with the selected calendar group.

This page also displays individual exceptions count for both Absence Calculation and Time Administration. User can click on these tiles to view employee level details

Administrators can now convert Reported Time and Absence into payable time on the go with the following capabilities,

  • Multiple Calendar Groups processed at the same time.

  • Any absence data modified can be calculated without the calendars being finalized.

  • Exceptions can be resolved in a timely manner.
