Porting Songbird to Solaris -- update

In case some guys are interested in this. Would like to give some updates for the porting efforts.

Songbird can be launched on my Solaris box successfully and playback view is correctly shown. The mp3 files can be played without problem. If you're interested in playing with it on Solaris Nevada, feel free to download from here.

This was built on Solaris Nevada b80 x86 box with Sun Studio 11, based on the snapshot of XULRunner 2008-02-21/Songbird 2008-03-05. Just extract it and run "./songbird" should be fine.

Good luck, guys!

Comments:

Hi, i am curious about Sun Studio 11, you mean only the compiler, or the IDE working with the project of SongBird?

I have downloaded songbird-20080305-nightly-solaris11-i386.tar.bz2, extracted on snv_82 (x86) and now I am listening to a TOI mp3 recoding. Awesome !

sheesh, the link above is obsolete. Sorry about that. If you're interested in using Songbird on OpenSolaris, I'd recommend the latest 0.7.0 release: http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Developer/Articles/Builds/Contributed_Builds.
