The TechCast Show: On Livestream Starting Feb. 16
By oracletechnet on Feb 09, 2010
In previous posts, I have shared my thoughts about the future of the TechCast podcast show. Well, after retreating to our laboratory for some time, we have a new plan. You're going to like this. A lot.
Did you catch Oracle OpenWorld Live last Fall? It was our first experiment with the Livestream platform, which brings social tools to the live video streaming medium. Well, starting on Feb. 16 (and occurring biweekly thereafter), Oracle Technology Network TechCasts will broadcast on that platform - which means they will be live, and that we will take questions via the native Livestream chat channel, Facebook, or Twitter. How cool is that?
Added 2/15: You can follow the stream via your iPhone as well through http://iphone.livestream.com/oraclelivemobile.
I'm very pleased that our first guest will be Mark Reinhold, the lead engineer working on Java SE and JDK 7. What better way to kick off this newly reincarnated show? So here's all the info about the maiden voyage:
Date: Feb. 16
Broadcast Time: 10am-10:30am PT
URL: oracle.com/technology - right on the OTN homepage
Tune in then, and bring your questions for Mark about Java SE, OpenJDK, whatever. We'll be waiting.
