The Blogs: Rolling on with Roller

The great blogs integration project - in which the and instances become one - has completed!, previously on the Movable Type platform, has packed its bags and moved over to the Apache Roller platform (on top of Oracle WebLogic Server 11g and Oracle Database 11g). And blogs have been re-badged as ones.

You should see no impact on links to legacy URLs, although truth be told, there will be a clean-up of abandoned blogs or those that have otherwise fallen into dis-use.

do u have any tips to migrate movabletype to roller? anyone wanna share to public?

Hi Frans, Well, I don't know if we have MT-to-Roller tips specifically. It's all XML, but whatever your sources and targets are, there's a bit of work involved.

What specific systems and storage is this hosted on?

Frank, BOC runs in Oracle's Austin data center. So whatever Oracle's standard hardware stack is (don't know this offhand).

There are misspellings in BEA Weblogic error messages. Administration is misspelled as "Adminstration" in many of the Weblogic error messages. I don't know how to report it and the issue has no adverse effects except to erode customer confidence in the quality of the product. Example:May 11, 2011 5:52:52 PM EDT> <Warning> <JMX> <BEA-149504> <The adminstration se ver was unable to establish JMX Connectivity with the OM722cust_usgvnmtufts1 at the JMX Service URL of service:jmx:t3:// nt.mbeanservers.runtime.>

Susan, the appropriate thing to do would be to file a bug with My Oracle Support.
