On My Agenda Today (not necessarily in this order)

1. Peruse the "OTN Greatest Hits 2004" CD, which will be available for free in the Guru Lounge. It contains the Top 10 Technical Articles (by roles and subjects), Sample Code, and Software Downloads published/released on OTN this year. We put a lot of work into this!

2. Meet some of the new Oracle ACEs. Oracle ACEs are proficient Oracle technical professionals (among Oracle customers as well as employees) who have now been formally recognized as "activists" in the Oracle technical community, whether via writing Tech Articles and/or blogs, participating in Discussion Forums, speaking at events, etc. Basically, Oracle ACEs are the vanguard of technical education and evangelism across the Oracle ecosystem. Newly minted ACEs include Ken Jacobs, Duncan Mills, Laurent Schneider, Werner Puschitz, Arup Nanda, Tom Kyte, and several other names you probably recognize (see the full list at http://www.oracle.com/technology/community/oracle_ace).

3. Attend at least a portion of Tom Kyte's session, "Thomas Kytes Top Things in Oracle Database 10g." What DBA wouldn't want to know what they are?

4. Attend at least a portion of the case study session "Pushing the 64-Bit Commodity Frontier with Oracle on Linux." Anything Yahoo IT is doing has got to be worth hearing about.

5. See the Oracle Grid Computing demo, which will highlight storage, server, and data provisioning -- which, of course, is what Grid is all about.

More later!
