Installing Autoscan Network on OpenSolaris

Hi All,

So I'm working on building a packaged version of Autoscan Network.

Currently you need to download the source bz2 file from: http://kb7sqi.com/opensolaris/

1. gtar xvfj autoscan-tom-1.42.tar.bz2

2. cd autoscan-network-1.42

3. gmake

4. gmake install

5. autoscan-network-daemon should now be running

6. autoscan-network should show up in the Internet applications

7. Follow the autoscan network setup GUI

Autoscan Network 1.41 on OpenSolaris

Hi All,

This is not my work, it's a really cool guy in my group, Tom Karbowski in Chicago that's making it work.

And it's not easy as most of the code is in French, this is not to say anything bad about French, it is not our native language.

This was the first run of the port on OpenSolaris B109

Autoscan Network 1.41 on OpenSolaris

Hi All,

So my friend Tom Karbowski moved the ball down the field a ways with Autoscan Network 1.41 on OpenSolaris.

The screenshot is the GUI running with the network wizard.

This may take a little bit of time for us as the entire code is in French, a language Tom and I are not fluent in.

Funny how much you can get from code when it's in a language you understand.

Anyway we will keep trying to make it work.

MSI Wind with B109, Autoscan Network

Hi All,

So I did a BIOS upgrade to the MSI and B108 started to hang in the suspend again.

Upgraded to B109 and the suspend / resume works again.

I still have three outstanding issues, touchpad not working after resume even my fix does not work anuymore, processor speed set high after resume and the usb SD / mspro reader is not being seen during insert.

I'm going down to CA for a week March 9th, I've setup to take the AA1, MSI and Elonex to LA to the Sun engineers supporting laptops for the day.

I'm also trying to port Autoscan Network to OpenSolaris see screenshot following of an Ubuntu system.

If I suspend the AA1 or MSI, Autoscan Network see's that it's down, you can actually send a wakeup across the lan and the AA1 or MSI will resume :-)
