Nevada B115, VB 2.2.4 and Ubunu 8.10

Hi All,

So I've been playing with VB and Ubuntu, I upgraded the Ubuntu to 8.10.

Here is a screen shot of Ubuntu running, it actually has Compiz turned on inside Ubuntu as well as the Nevada that has Compiz.

Hi,

I see that you have windows 7+xp installed in VB.
Was it easy? And which version of VB do you use?

And would it be possible to boot an already installed windows with VB?

Regards,
Peter.

I'm using the latest release of VB 2.2.4 on Nevada B115 as host

Yes the installs are very easy, just use an ISO, CD or DVD.

No you cannot use the already installed OS, VB creates a special VDI file that looks like a separate HD to the guest OS.

The great thing is you can backup and restore the VDI file.

Thanks David!

Did you use the professional, personal or open source version?

And do you know a virtualizer for linux which is able to boot an already installed windows?

Regards,
Peter.
