Oracle E-Business 12.2 Training - Support Your Deployment

As enterprises continue to migrate and adopt Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2, we continue to see strong demand for training. Courses are available in both traditional classroom and our popular online Live Virtual Class formats.

Here are some key training opportunities you may want to consider.

Online Patching

One of the most significant new features of Oracle E-Business Suite Rel 12.2 is 'Online Patching'. This allows you to apply patches while the system is still running, which reduces the patching and maintenance downtime.

Such a significant transition does, however, require an understanding of the new patching model, the terminology, and the tools that underpin the online patching operation. The following course will help you meet this objective.

Application Administration

System administrators need to understand the concepts and functions  critical to their job role as it pertains to your applications. The following course covers implementing and managing the Oracle E-Business Suite.

Oracle Workflow

Oracle Workflow Manager allows system administrators to define and manage business processes. You can route relevant information to decision makers, automate processes, deliver electronic notifications to users in a given workflow, and monitor your processes as they are implemented.  The following course will teach you how to design, administer, and manage workflow processes.

Oracle Financials

Training for the Oracle E-Business Suite Financial Management is designed to help implementers and end users set up, use, and manage their financial applications.  The following course provides a deep dive into implementation considerations for setting up and using Oracle Subledger Accounting. You'll walk away with the knowledge to create and translate journal entries to the General Ledger.

The next course is for those who need to know how to set up and use Oracle Receivables to manage receivables processing.

Order Management

If you're looking to learn how to perform the steps to setup Oracle Inventory in support of Oracle Order Management, including how to create subinventories, units of measure and items, then you should take the following course.

Inventory Management

Effective inventory management is critical to any successful manufacturing operation. The following course will show you how to setup, define, and perform inventory transactions, while reflecting the logical flow of the processes involved in inventory management.

Top 5 Live Virtual Class Myths Busted

Oracle University has been offering Live Virtual Training Classes since 2008.  The primary goal of Oracle’s Live Virtual Training is to give our students around the world more options when taking Oracle training - without the need for travel or waiting on locally scheduled courses.

Many students have shared with us that they are reluctant to take a Live Virtual Class because they feel like they won’t get access to everything they would get in a traditional course. So we thought it would be a good idea to bust the top 5 myths about Live Virtual Training right here and now.

Myth #1: Live Virtual Classes do not cover same content covered in a traditional classroom course.

Our Live Virtual Classes use the same exact content used in our traditional classroom courses.  Every lesson is fully covered and you get access to the complete course eKit.

Myth #2: Live Virtual Classes do not include Labs.

Every class includes access to labs for hands-on practice. These are the same labs used in our traditional classroom courses.  Live Virtual Class students actually benefit because they can access labs after class hours.  Labs are available 24 hours a day for the duration of the course.

Myth #3: Live Virtual Classes are not delivered by Oracle’s top instructors.

Every Oracle University Instructor is responsible for delivering courses via Classroom Training, as well as online, via Live Virtual Classes.

Myth #4: Every class runs the risk of technical issues that will negatively influence my classroom experience.

As with all training – even in a traditional classroom – technical issues can arise.  However, this shouldn’t prohibit you from taking a Live Virtual Class.  We have a team of Live Virtual Class producers who are available 24x7 to help you before the class starts and throughout the class. Producers respond to any issues instantly to ensure every student has a superior training experience.

Myth #5: Live Virtual Classes are not interactive.

The Virtual Environment delivery platform we use provides many tools to assure interactivity. All LVC Instructors are trained to use the interactivity features in the virtual environment.

Features include:

  • Presentation annotations
  • Desktop sharing
  • Quizzes
  • Live chat
  • Question and answer tool
  • Whiteboard
  • Emoticons - these are icons that communicate to the instructor if a student has a question or if the student is ready to move on.
Most importantly, because instructors are not physically in the classroom, they are motivated to use these tools and make the class as interactive as a regular class.
