Sagar Joshi holds TEN Oracle Certifications. Since first pursuing Oracle Database Administrator 11g certification 6 years ago, Sagar has specialized his database skills with RAC and Grid Infrastructure and Data Guard, and has expanded his skill and knowledge to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Certification has helped Sagar to prove his knowledge and stand out in a crowded market as well as continue to learn and grow, expanding his career opportunities along the way.
Let's hear from Sagar directly.
Why was it important to you to become Oracle Certified?
Database has always been my platform of choice since graduating from University. Ever since then, I have always thought, how can I stand out stronger and more skilled on the market. That's where Oracle certification came in.
What is your job title and what are your responsibilities?
I currently work as Assistant Manager for Mission Critical Systems and manage Oracle Databases on a day to day basis. I have been involved in various projects related to Oracle Databases such as implementation of Oracle Data Guard for meeting Disaster Recovery Solutions and implementation of Oracle Real Application Clusters for scalability and high availability. Both combined together in overall implementing Oracle Maximum Availability.
Tell us about the company you work for - what kind of services does your company provide?
We provide various customized services to our clients to best fit their financial needs.
Since earning your Oracle Certification, what professional benefits have you experienced?
Oracle Certification has played a great role not only in my day to day tasks but also on my resume and career growth. Being Oracle certified has helped my resume and career profile stand out more aggressive and stronger in my professional network.
How does your Oracle Certification badge help you stand out from others in your field?
Oracle Certification has helped me stand out more confident in the organization. It has helped me get recognition across various companies as an asset and not a liability.
Sagar goes on to say, of his Oracle Certification digital badge, "Badges earned during the my journey from 11g to 12c have been instrumental in my profile being viewed by many companies. They have also been helpful in receiving endorsements of various skills related to Database. With the grace of God and once I have enough liquidity, I would like to certify myself in Oracle Certified Master 12c: Maximum Availability."
With Sagar's determination and dedication, we will be looking for him to achieve that goal in the not too distant future.
