In the United States, CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency) is celebrating October as the Cybersecurity Awareness Month to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.

The timing couldn’t be better. As organizations move workloads to the public cloud, develop cloud-native applications, and embrace multi-cloud environments, security and the ability to mitigate cloud vulnerabilities is a primary concern to a fully realized cloud adoption scenario.

With security being both an adoption driver and a barrier, how do you move forward? The key is choosing the right technology — one that is designed to protect users, safeguard data, and help better address regulatory compliance requirements.

If that’s the case, you might wonder what’s keeping organizations from adopting the right set of security technologies. Skills shortage often comes up as a top reason for many enterprises; 80% of CEOs said they were concerned about the workplace skills gap, exacerbated by the fact that new technology continues to be created at a rapid rate (Forbes).

That’s why, starting today, we are offering Cybersecurity and Oracle Cloud training free of charge to both organizations and individuals. This training course includes videos taught by Oracle security experts as well as special online assessments. Most of the videos are short (fewer than 5 minutes long) to improve retention rates and keep users engaged until successful course completion.

The course also includes easy to understand explanations of some of the most common concepts, methodologies, security threats and controls used in the cybersecurity industry including:

  • Zero Trust Security
  • Threat Intelligence
  • Vulnerabilities detection and management
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
  • Incident Response
  • more

In the Cybersecurity and Oracle Cloud course, you will learn how Oracle Cloud can help your enterprise protect its infrastructure, applications, and data against cyberattacks and adhere to compliance mandates. You will also learn about Oracle Cloud’s unique security capabilities and how you can improve your security posture with Oracle Cloud services.

Also, later this month, we are launching the OCI Security Specialist certification course, so stay tuned. And remember, our Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) training is free, with free certification until December 31, 2021 February 28, 2022.

In short, all of these courses are great ways to celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month while increasing your Oracle Cloud security knowledge. Get started with our free Cybersecurity and Oracle Cloud training today.

Update: this certification exam is now free until February 28, 2022
