Get ready for new features, streamlined steps to certification, simpler upgrade paths, and a fully integrated certification path.

Oracle Database 19c is the long term support release of the Oracle Database 12c and 18c family of products, offering customers the best performance, scalability, reliability and security for all their operational and analytical workloads.

Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional is the new certification credential for Oracle Database 19c Administrators.

This new certification path removes obstacles to certification and streamlines the journey.

There is one credential, earned by passing two exams, and no hands-on course requirement.

This is a break from traditional DBA certification paths that awarded an Oracle Certified Associate certification on the path to Oracle Certified Professional, and required a hands-on training course in order to earn the credential.

Oracle University training is still a very important part of preparing for these certification exams, but removing the hands-on training requirement allows some space around how, when, and where candidates access training, putting you more in control of your own journey.

Earning this certification requires passing two exams:

Even better, if you are still in the process of completing an earlier certification path and have not yet earned an Oracle Database Administration certification, then there is a simplified path to get you to this latest certification, learning the latest technology in the process.

Take a look at this comprehensive Oracle Database Certification Questions Answered FAQ to see all available options to earn the new Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional credential whatever your current status.

Additionally, there is no longer a stopping point at the Oracle Certified Associate level where candidates often stop without demonstrating they have a complete DBA skill set. Preparing for these two exams gives you the full core DBA skill set needed to perform successfully as a professional Database Administrator.

Paring down the certification to a single Database Administrator credential at the Professional level aligns more closely with what is required of an experienced Database Administrator.

Now. . . how do you prepare for these new exams?

You start with Oracle University Training.  We now develope the courses and exams aligned to support learning what you are tested on.
