Over the last few weeks, Oracle has made several announcements confirming it continues to deliver measurable business value to customers around the world and engineer their businesses for success.

On 11 July, we announced that one of the Middle East’s most established retail groups, Kamal Osman Jamjoom has upgraded Oracle® Retail Merchandising applications, Oracle Database and Oracle Solaris to improve merchandise management across its growing franchise and private label brands. The upgrade is optimising operations by delivering improvements in stock accuracy, pricing management and merchandise flow through the business, as well as providing the group with enhanced functionality within its finance operations and integration with its warehouse.

On 7 July, Oracle announced that the US Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) has transformed its retail business after implementing a number of Oracle® Retail Merchandising applications and financial modules within Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12. VCS has established new merchandising, inventory and price processes within the retail entity to provide greater visibility to inventory, improve financial operation efficiency, and free up staff to support customers and quickly replenish key items in store.

On 29 June, Oracle confirmed that luxury watch retailer Ashford.com is using Oracle ATG Web Commerce platform to personalize offers to registered shoppers and customers and has launched a members-only shopping club called ‘The Vault’. Since going live with Oracle ATG Web Commerce, Ashford.com’s online sales have grown rapidly and year to date are more than double last year’s during the same period.

On 28 June, we announced that the US’ largest privately owned department store chain Belk had selected Oracle Retail Merchandising System to enable a ‘seamless, non-channel view’ of its brand, whether customers shop online or in store. This latest selection of Oracle Retail extends Belk’s long-term partnership with Oracle and is part of a larger company-wide initiative to transform business and core merchandising operations supporting its ecommerce site and 304 stores in the US southern states.

And on 27 June, Oracle confirmed that Grupo Unicomer, a leading consumer electronics retailer across the Americas, has selected Oracle Retail Stores solutions to standardize store operations throughout its multinational operations. Unicomer is deploying Oracle Retail Point-of-Service, Oracle Retail Back Office and Oracle Retail Central Office to provide a consistent customer experience through improved performance and faster checkout times.
