That's a Wrap on the Partner Experience at OpenWorld!

And just like that, Oracle OpenWorld 2018 has come and gone. For those of you that joined us in San Francisco last month, we hope you had a great onsite experience at the conference and traveled home safely. For those that weren’t able to make it this year, we felt you there with us in spirit!

You can continue to make the most of OpenWorld by checking out all of the partner-specific content we offered at the conference, including messaging from the Global Partner Executive Summit and the InFocus partner session presentations.  In the meantime, here’s a quick recap of some of the fun memories from the Partner Experience for you to enjoy.

Congratulations to our Oracle Excellence Award winners!

We’d like to start by recognizing our amazing 2018 Global Oracle Excellence Award winning partners. We so enjoyed spending time with you taking photos, filming video references in the OPN Lounge and hearing from you firsthand during the Global Partner Executive Summit. We are so proud to partner with you. Congratulations on this significant achievement!

OPN Lounge

The famed OPN Lounge found a new home in the Marriott Marquis’ SoMa Room this year, and rumor has it that this was our best venue yet. The lounge served as a hub for partner meetings at the OPN Connection Tables and for two information stations for questions about the OPN program and opportunities for ISVs. The décor and ambiance also made for an inviting oasis where partners could chat informally or simply relax and recharge before hitting the conference again.   

InFocus Partner Sessions

The 2018 InFocus program saw ~400 attendees across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. This year was particularly memorable with the hotel strikers right outside the InFocus room window (thank you to those that stayed focused and positive despite the excitement and background noise!). Some of our most popular 2018 topics included enablement and certification, partner marketing tools and resources, opportunities to develop on Oracle Cloud, and Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle EPM Cloud. We’ve made the InFocus presentations accessible to view, download or share so that every Oracle partner – whether you went to San Francisco or not – can hear the latest.

Well, that barely scratches the surface of the always-exciting week of OpenWorld. If you haven’t already caught up on the keynotes from Larry Ellison, Mark Hurd and other Oracle executives, we definitely recommend watching the replays or reading up on the announcement highlights. The best part is, we won’t have to wait a whole year to see you again, because Oracle OpenWorld is going global in 2019! Save the date for one (or two or three!) of the upcoming 2-day OpenWorld showcases in London (January 16-17), Dubai (February 11-12), and Singapore (March 26-27).

It was wonderful to see so many friendly faces from the OPN community last week, and hope to see many more soon. Goodbye for now, from the OPN Communications & Events Team!
