Oracle Sets New Emissions Goals for 2025

Meghan Fritz
Communications Manager

Fresh off the heels of attaining CDP Climate A List recognition in 2018, Oracle is not resting on our laurels. We recently set two new targets that will address the emissions from both our Real Estate and Facilities operations, as well as our cloud data centers, which are hosted with our co-location partners. The new targets are to

  • Reduce absolute emissions by 26 percent by 2025 (baseline 2015);
  • Reduce emissions per energy used by 55 percent by 2025 (baseline 2015)

Oracle will pursue these targets on multiple fronts, including continuing to drive energy efficiency initiatives across the company, identifying cost-effective opportunities to deploy onsite renewable energy, and working closely with our business partners both in the utilities space and with our co-location providers. Oracle is a signatory to both the Renewable Energy Buyer’s Alliance, as well as the Corporate Colocation and Cloud Buyers’ Principles.

Our 2020 goals, which have been in place since 2016, will remain in place and we continue to make great progress towards meeting those targets.
