Important Changes in Sell and Service Expertise for Oracle Hardware

We are working to improve your experience as an OPN member as part of our continued efforts to simplify our partner program.

Effective November 1st, 2020, the following Sell Expertise will be retired from the License and Hardware Track:

  • Fujitsu Servers
  • SPARC Enterprise Entry-Level and Midrange M-Series Servers
  • SPARC Enterprise High-End M-Series Servers
  • SPARC M-Series Servers
  • SPARC T-Series Servers

Our goal is to simplify the way you can resell our Hardware Products and for that reason, we will consolidate all the above products into a single Sell Expertise which includes the same products for partner’s resell:

We encourage you to go to the Expertise Dashboard and verify your attainment towards this new Expertise. If you meet the qualifiers, please publish and accept resell rights in order to assure your ability to continue reselling Oracle Hardware.

In addition to the above changes, we also aim to further simplify our customer’s experience and ability to select the right partner who can successfully implement Oracle products. We will also retire the following Service Expertise:

  • Fujitsu M-Series Servers
  • SPARC T-Series Servers
  • SPARC M-Series Servers
  • Oracle ZFS Storage
  • StorageTek Tape Libraries

Since implementation of Hardware products is different compared to a Software project needs, we encourage partners who drive installation and configuration of our Hardware to focus on the following Expertise, which is available in over 20+ product areas:

Oracle provides qualified partners with the methodologies, resources, and tools to deliver their own hardware installation services based on Oracle's Enterprise Installation Services (EIS) methodology. Installations performed by partners approved for this Expertise are recognized by Oracle for the purposes of support and product warranty.
