Oracle IaaS Private Cloud brings subscription pricing to Hosting Partners & SIs

With recent updates to Oracle Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Private Cloud, hosting partners and SIs can gain a convenient acquisition model for Oracle’s popular engineered systems - for deployment on-premise or in a hosting center.  

Oracle Infrastructure as a Service

Oracle IaaS Private Cloud includes Oracle Engineered Systems hardware and support for a simple monthly subscription fee. The subscription fee is an operating expense, since Oracle retains ownership of the system. Exadata Storage Server software is also available under the subscription model for use on Exadata systems acquired under an IaaS Private Cloud license. Oracle IaaS Private Cloud combines the security and control of on-premise systems with unique features of cloud computing, including elastic capacity on demand, which enables businesses to access and pay for peak CPU capacity only when needed. Oracle IaaS Private Cloud also includes Oracle’s Engineered Systems Platinum and PlatinumPlus Services for no extra cost.

Oracle IaaS Private Cloud is available for Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, Oracle SuperCluster and Oracle Big Data Appliance.

Accenture + Oracle Enhance the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud for R&D

We are proud to announce that Accenture has just expanded the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud for Research and Development (R&D) powered by Oracle with the addition of enhanced clinical data management capabilities enabling life sciences companies to generate high-quality and reliable data from clinical trials to reduce the time and cost needed to take drugs from development to market.

This latest version of the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud for R&D offers the Oracle Health Sciences Data Management Workbench (DMW), which includes prebuilt integrations to the Oracle Health Sciences InForm, an electronic data capture (EDC) solution to create an end-to-end clinical data collection and management platform.

With the addition of the Oracle Health Sciences DMW, the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud for R&D automates the time-consuming manual processes required to load, transform and clean trial data.  Trial sponsors and contract research organizations can now increase the speed and accuracy of data collection, integration and analysis; achieve greater efficiency of clinical workflow and query management; and accelerate stakeholders’ access to data across the trial lifecycle from source to submission.

As previously announced in October, the Life Sciences Cloud Coalition is a ground-breaking initiative, in parallel with the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud for R&D platform, to build an assembly of like-minded leaders, collaborating for a healthier industry in non-competitive areas.  The focus of the coalition is on driving innovation in the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud to digitally enable the R&D function, speed the drug development process while improving quality and cost for the industry.  Members of the Life Sciences Cloud Coalition include Oracle, Eisai, Pfizer, Merck and other leading pharmaceutical companies.
