What in the World is OTO?

Find Oracle's Best Kept Secret: Oracle Technology On Demand

Remember Waldo? He was always travelling incognito--much like Oracle Technology On Demand (OTO). What is it, and where is it? The first question is easy: Oracle Technology On Demand is the Oracle technology stack, hardware, operating systems, database, and middleware hosted and managed in Oracle's Austin data center and delivered to customers over the internet. Phew, easier than finding Waldo.

Where can you find OTO? Simply stated, most OTO deployments are sold as part of an applications management service, such as Oracle E-Business Suite On Demand, PeopleSoft Enterprise On Demand, or Hyperion On Demand. Although OTO can be found in many places, it's usually with an on-demand application. Increasingly, OTO is delivered to customers all by itself. The new Oracle Exadata On Demand is a perfect case in point.

If you want to become an ace at finding OTO, come to Oracle OpenWorld session S317545, "Oracle Technology On Demand Cloud Platform Accelerates Software Development," Wednesday, September 22, 4:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. in Moscone West, room 3016. It's easy to find this session on the schedule--it's right after Larry Ellison's keynote. Gene Eun, Oracle On Demand Product Manager, will be joined by Herve de LaSayette, VP of IT at Essilor. Use Schedule Builder and reserve your spot today.
