Paul Dorsey Reflects As NYOUG Turns 25

As an Oracle ACE, frequent Oracle OpenWorld presenter, and founder of Oracle consulting firm Dulcian, Inc., Dr. Paul Dorsey has little time to look back. But recently, the President Emeritus of the New York Oracle Users Group sat down with Oracle Magazine Senior Editor Jeff Erickson to discuss how the interests of database architects and developers are addressed by user group events.

This December, NYOUG will host its annual conference at the New Yorker Hotel, and celebrate its 25th year of service to the business professionals working in and around Manhattan. In this video, Dorsey explains the importance of the NYOUG, and reminisces about its major milestones of the last quarter century.

I think a more elegant iteration would be NYUOG. This could be leveraged to New York University-Oracle Group(or, if you like, 'Original Gangsters'). Maybe, an Oracle intensive on the campus of NYU to scout future Oracle leaders? *shrugs* The Omega Group: Also Known As...Oracle./
