Green Your Routine

Last Chance to Visit the Green Marketplace

Have you been to the Green Marketplace in Moscone North yet? Wednesday is your last chance to learn how to turn your business into an eco-enterprise—and sample some environmentally friendly delights.

The Green Marketplace will be open Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. You'll see interactive exhibits and learn how Oracle works with partners and customers to integrate sustainability into their IT and business plans.

While there, make sure you stop by the vendors along the back walls for an assortment of offerings. You'll find the dense, green, extra virgin olive oil from Kalosini, tasty and sustainable vegetarian treats from Cafe Gratitude, and mellow, antioxidant-rich coffee from Bean Island Coffee.

But, we have to be honest; we spent the most time at the TCHO stand tasting their dark chocolates. Head over and talk to Patrick or Rob while sampling the spectrum of dark chocolate flavors they offer, made from cacao beans grown around the world. Beside the obvious appeal of their product, TCHO drew our attention because they integrate innovative technology into their sweet productions. Using something they call TCHOSource, they provide their bean farmers with capital, in-field remote monitoring, sensory analysis training, and technology transfer so that the farmers can better understand the variables which affect the most important aspect of TCHO's chocolates: flavor.

Stop by the Green Marketplace and let us know which eco-innovation was your favorite.
