Flights of Fancy

Winners of the Team Oracle Biplane Rides

Back in May, we announced a contest for a once-in-a-lifetime, 20-minute joy ride in the Team Oracle biplane with pilot Sean Tucker. Today, we'd like to announce our winners (this is where the drum roll goes):

lene Vu from Oregon and
Ryan Wagner from Pennsylvania.

Ilene and Ryan will get a unique perspective of the Moscone Center and the rest of the sights of San Francisco from a seat in the high-performance Team Oracle biplane. The most award-winning civilian pilot in the world, Sean Tucker, will swoop and swirl and spin our winners in a ride they'll never forget. But just in case one of them spends some time with their eyes closed tight, they'll each get a photo of themselves with the aerobatic genius, Sean's autograph, and a DVD of the flight itself, taken with a video camera inside the plane.

By the way, if you're still itching for those Early Bird rates, you can submit your video to our Oracle OpenWorld Video Challenge. There are only a few days left for you to upload your video response describing why you want to go to Oracle OpenWorld 2009. Every entry gets an Oracle OpenWorld registration discount code, and one lucky winner will get to go to the show for free.

So, congratulations Ilene and Ryan, and good luck to all our potential winners, too.
