Download 'em Now: Oracle OpenWorld Presentations

Now available for download: most of the sessions from Oracle OpenWorld.

If you missed sessions, want to review what you learned, or spread the knowledge to others, now you can download most of the sessions presented at Oracle OpenWorld.

There are two ways to access the sessions for download (or online review):

  1. Directly through Content Catalog
  2. Indirectly through Schedule Builder to Content Catalog (registered attendees only)

Note:

- Sessions will be available for download for approximately six months (March 2014)
- Some presenters chose not to make their sessions available

Miss any keynotes? You can access them here.
Miss the great discussions with customers and others on OpenWorld Live? Check them out here

Comments:

Sadly...when it comes to:

"Some presenters chose not to make their sessions available"

this list appears to be dominated by the Oracle-run sessions :-(

Could someone share the Oracle Open World 2013 official session download link by category.

Thanks,

Very sad to see it is an option to refuse to publish the presentations. It costs a ton to attend this conference (especially if you are from outside US) and spending all that money, only to see a "some choose not to publish" makes me a bit sad. Some presentations was way too fast to take proper notes so that was sessions "wasted" I guess......

Hi - I heard back from the content team on your comment. Here's what they said:

Thanks for the important feedback. Most people do choose to publish their presentations. However, some people do ask us not to publish because their slides contain information that they don’t want disseminated outside of what and how they presented it or the customers who participate don’t want the hard copies made public. Please note that presentations are still being uploaded, so check back often for new files.

The lack of downloadable presentations is very unfortunate. Especially when many of the presenters explicitly said "don't bother with taking pictures, this content will be available later". A little deceptive...kind of like Larry not showing up for the keynote.

Hi "Guest" - heard back from the content team on your October 25 post. Here's their response: We’re still in the process of collecting presentations, so keep checking back. We did change the method of collecting presentations this year, and we’re working through some issues created by that. Thanks for your patience.

Hi,

Is there any difference sharing information between
1.Directly through Content Catalog.
2.Indirectly through Schedule Builder to Content Catalog (registered attendees only).

My supervisor attended the conference and want me to get the session. Or i can ask oracle staff to send the session by mail address?

Posted by william on October 31, 2013 at 06:41 PM PDT #

Hi William - there's no difference. Just two ways of accessing the same files.

Are the downloads for 2013 oracle world presentations offline now?
We can access the link and see the session details but no option to download is visible...

Is there any other link to do so?

Much appreciated the sharing...

Thanks.

Hi Guest - the downloads are available for 6 months after the conference. So in other words, they are no longer available. Hope you'll be able to come to this year's conference in person. More detailed information on 2014 content will be available in the next month or two. Thanks for your interest in Oracle OpenWorld.

I searched every where on the Content Catalog and/or Schedule Builder and unable to find an option to download session presentations. This is for Oracle OpenWorld 2014 and I am a registered attendees.

Much appreciated more infos.

Why are there no slides available for OOW14? Almost all presenters said their content would be available but none are.

The value of OOW includes the ability to disseminate this information within my organization and the absence of slides greatly diminishes that.

Please remedy as soon as possible or provide pointers to where the content is?

Speakers are responsible for uploading their slides to the system. Some have already done that, and others will do it -- it generally takes up to a month for the majority of speakers to upload their presentations. So keep looking.

I checked today and didn't find the slides for a lot of sessions. I didn't take pictures because most of the speakers said that the slides will be uploaded immediately after OOW, but that hasn't happened.

As we responded a few days ago, speakers are responsible for uploading their slides to the system. Some have already done that, and others will do it -- it generally takes up to a month for the majority of speakers to upload their presentations. So keep looking. Or you can always try to get in touch with a speaker and urge them to upload their presentation if you see they haven't done that already.

Is there a link from where I can download the session details as topic, presenter, description, application/solution etc.

Some speakers have not uploaded the presentations yet and none of them have their email Ids published. How can I contact them?

Posted by guest on November 20, 2014 at 01:53 PM PST #

If you can provide the names of specific speakers and their presentation titles, our content team will try to contact them and urge them to post their slides.
